I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
– F. Scott Fitzgerald
Hey there, I’m Ashley.
Before we get started there are a few things you should know about me… I’m sarcastic, introspective, I crave simplicity, swear too much and I give great hugs. I survive on coffee, tacos (ALL. The. Tacos!) and all things sweet. I’m a collector of office supplies, notebooks, books, and buttons. My passions include reading, writing, gardening, and cooking – all of which you’ll find here.
I spend my days helping clients in the financial services industry, where I’ve been working for over 14 years. I find the work that I do meaningful and helpful to those who need it. But, my nights are where the fun is at… hours of coloring with my children, relaxing in the pool, and creating elaborate dinners fit for kings and queens.
“Mom, is the mac and cheese done yet?!?”
Oh, whoops… I mean wrangling children, wishing I had a pool, fighting through homework, and wondering why on earth dinner can’t cook itself!?!? (But really, why can’t it??)
My husband and I met in high school and have been married for 12 years. We have two daughters and a dog and live in the same Northern California town that we grew up in. We dream of owning a small farm and hope to make that dream come true, but in the meantime, we will continue loving our well-lived-in home.
If you want to know more about why I started this blog, please read more about my vision and what to expect from me.
