Everyday Beautiful is my recap of the things that brought me joy during the previous week.
Last week I missed my episode of Everyday Beautiful. While I had lots of moments of joy, I had not one picture from the week as proof. And when I sat down to write an encouraging note to remind you (and myself) that just because there weren’t any tangible mementos doesn’t mean that we didn’t have moments of joy. However, it didn’t feel genuine and my schedule became chaotic, so I let it go.
This week, I’d like to preface my photos by saying that just because they are full of twinkle lights and yummy drinks, doesn’t mean that my week was overfilled with joy. In between these photos – I cried, I hurt a loved ones feelings, I was angry, I struggled to get my kids to do their homework, and countless other mundane and un-sexy everyday life things. It doesn’t get more real than that, folks. So, I hope you know that you are not alone in whatever you are dealing with. ❤️
Addressing Christmas cards and the Yogi tea wisdom was spot on – “We can always start again.”
Enjoyed a cup of cheer to get me through the day.
My December reading view is not a bad one.
Enjoyed grinch juice and a game night with friends.
Enjoying my new holiday shirt.
Found this little cutie at the grocery store… it jumped into my cart.
My cup of cheer got an upgrade – caramel drizzle!
Currently Reading
I am currently reading The Twelve Dates of Christmas and I’m really enjoying the quirky characters and English setting.
The Plight Before Christmas – 3 stars!
This book held so much potential and I fell in love with the characters and the setting and I just ADORE a second-chance romance, plus there was a lovely family element and great humor. However, the past chapters were written in such a way that it felt like the author wanted us to hate Eli, he appeared borderline abusive (emotionally), but then made him out to be the sweetest hero in the present tense. Ultimately, I just couldn’t get past it.

The last two weeks have been filled with tools to change my mindset and help me make an important decision for work that will change the trajectory of my future. These resources really helped me see that I am holding myself back out of fear.
This Mel Robbins training was what I needed at the right time. I obtained most of my insights by taking the workbook seriously and answering all of the questions.
Loved this conversation with Marie Forleo and Ed Mylett.
Another Mel Robbins podcast with important nuggets – although these ones are mostly related to business.
I found this episode of Marie Forleo’s podcast with the Glucose Goddess to be highly informative, and now I can’t wait to dive into her books!
Recipes I Loved
We made these Chicken Teriyaki Burgers – they were tasty.
Made one of our favorite weeknight meals – Sheet Pan Sausages and Peppers – we use regular Italian sausage.

Words to Live By
Self care takes effort. It doesn’t just happen.
The body and mind need to be maintained. Similar to a garden, without effort, weeds will pop up and overtake everything.
With a bit of consistent pruning, the results can be beautiful.

Thank you for keeping it real. Jealous of your cups of cheer! I hope your next two holiday reads hit the spot.
